Where is the Perfect Word of God to be found today?
Answer: in the King James Bible or the Authorized Version of the Scriptures
Introductory Truths:
1) God has magnified His Word above even His very Name; He holds a very high opinion of His Word.
Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
2) God has revealed Himself and His plan for the redemption of man in His Word. Apart from biblical revelation, we would know absolutely nothing of God.
3) Satan’s primary object of attack and perversion is and has always been the Word of God. From the beginning of the creation, the devil has used and misused the Word of God to draw men away from God and to himself.
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Luke 8:11-12 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
THE REAL ISSUE BEHIND THE BIBLE VERSION QUESTION…
THE TEXTS FROM WHICH THEY COME!!!!
We must remember, people had the Word of God BEFORE the King James Bible of 1611. When the Colonists established Jamestown in 1607, they had the Word of God in the GENEVA BIBLE.
Let us now consider a few basic truths concerning the real issue:
1) The language of the Bible writers was NOT English. The language of the Old Testament was Hebrew and Aramaic. The language of the New Testament was Greek. When the Holy Spirit inspired men such as Moses, Paul and John to write Scripture, they wrote in these languages. These manuscripts of the original writings are called autographs. These autographs or writings are called TEXTS. These texts were copied and preserved and handed down generation after generation until they came to us today in English in the form of the King James Bible.
The King James Bible gets its OLD TESTAMENT translation from the Masoretic Text. The group of scribes called the Masorites were meticulous in their copying making sure that they copied the words of God exactly as He had given them. They were careful not to ADD or TAKE away from the Word of God. If so much as one mistake of the quill were to be made, the entire book had to be re-copied. There has never been much debate as to the validity and credibility of the Old Testament text.
However, the issue comes to a head when we come to the New Testament.
There are TWO major NEW TESTAMENT TEXTS from which ALL BIBLE VERSIONS COME:
1) The Alexandrian Text (also called the Vaticanus Text, the Westcott and Hort Text, etc.)
-NIV (New International Version)
-NASV (New American Standard Version)
-RSV (Revised Standard Version)
-NRSV (New Revised Standard Version)
-NCV (New Century Version
-Living Bible (technically not a version but a paraphrase)
-NIV (New International Version)
-NASV (New American Standard Version)

-NCV (New Century Version
-Living Bible (technically not a version but a paraphrase)
2) The Textus Receptus or Received Text
-King James Bible
-King James Bible
Let us use some common sense here. There could be volumes written about the sources and dates of both texts. But let’s make it simple. The Corrupted text, or the Alexandrian text was found largely in Alexandria Egypt. We have no record of any Apostle or any of the Apostle’s associates EVER GOING THERE! Also, it is common knowledge among Bible scholars that Alexandria Egypt was home to the heretic named Origen and his school of theology. Origen taught that Scripture could not be taken literally but figuratively.
However, the Textus Receptus, from which comes the King James Bible was found largely in Antioch, Syria. We do know that the Apostles were in Antioch. In fact, this was the place of the second major church in the New Testament Book of Acts. Paul and Barnabus were called out of this church to be missionaries in Acts 13:1-2.
Now, common sense would tell you that a text found in a place where there was a local church and where the Apostles had been would be more reliable than a text that had been found in a place no Apostle ever visited and where a false teacher had a large school in which he taught men to dissect and explain away the Bible by using symbolism.
We say confidently that the King James Bible IS THE WORD OF GOD BECAUSE IT COMES FROM THE RIGHT TEXT…PERIOD!
The objection could then be raised… “Since the Bible has been copied and handed down over hundreds of years, how do we know that error has not crept in and the Bible has become corrupted?”
To this question, we give the WORD OF GOD:
Psalms 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Down through the years, God had Providentially Superintended the process of handing down His Word so that it has been preserved perfect and inerrant in the King James Bible…we still do have a PERFECT BIBLE!!
Before we close this study, let’s look at some facts and figures concerning other versions as compared to the King James Bible. I ask that you allow the facts speak for themselves!
The NIV removes 63,625 words from the whole Bible. That is equivalent to taking out the books of Obadiah, Jonah, Haggai, Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1 & 2 Peter, 1,2 & 3 John, Jude and more!!!!
What does the Bible say about taking away the words of the Lord??
Deuteronomy 4:1-2 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Consider how the other versions take away and add words to and from the New Testament…
*NKJV takes away 2,289 words
*NIV takes away 5,219 words
*NASV adds 3,561 words
*NRSV takes away 3,890 words
*RSV takes away 6,985 words
*NCV adds 11,114 words
*LIV adds 17,003 words
*NIV takes away 5,219 words
*NASV adds 3,561 words
*NRSV takes away 3,890 words
*RSV takes away 6,985 words
*NCV adds 11,114 words
*LIV adds 17,003 words
Some various omissions and wording changes in the corrupt versions…
1) In Isaiah 14:12, the King James Bible calls the devil Lucifer. In the new versions, they change the word Lucifer to “Morning Star.” That creates a SERIOUS PROBLEM. In the King James Bible, Jesus is called the “Morning Star” in Revelation 22:16!!! YES, THE NEW VERSIONS CALL JESUS CHRIST AND LUCIFER THE SAME THING!!! WHAT BLASPHEMY!
2) The corrupt versions tell an outright lie concerning WHO SLEW GOLIATH the GIANT! Every SS child knows it was David the son of Jesse.
The KJB reads as follows in 2 Samuel 21:19: And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.
But the ASV and others say this: And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob; and Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim the Beth-lehemite slew Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. (blatant lie)
3) An important verse concerning believer’s baptism is completely omitted from the NIV and other corrupt versions. You will not find Acts 8:37 in the NIV and others. WHY??? This verse teaches that only those who have believed on Christ and have been born again are candidates for Scriptural baptism. The Roman Catholics need a Bible that tells them they can sprinkle babies who have never put faith in Christ and call that baptism!
Acts 8:36-37 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
In closing, let the Holy Spirit teach you, can you call anything the Bible that makes so many subtractions and additions to the Word of God? NO.
Also, consider this. Dr. Frank Logsdon, a man who sat on the editing committee of the NASV had to say after the work of the NASV was completed. (available on most search engine sites)
May God help us to realize that we have the TRUE and PERFECT Word of God in the Old Book, the King James Bible!
There has NEVER been in the history of America or Europe a true revival or evangelistic awakening without the use of the Authorized Version (KJB). It was the Bible of John Wesley, George Whitefield, Charles Spurgeon, Jonathan Edwards and Billy Sunday.
God Bless You!

Introductory Statements Concerning the
Doctrine of God: Theology
Doctrine of God: Theology
· The Scriptures never attempt to prove the existence of a personal and real God; they simply state His existence as fact (Genesis 1:1). The burden of proof does not lie with God to disprove His existence; the burden of proof lies with man.
· God has revealed Himself to mankind in TWO distinct ways:
GENERAL REVELATION: This is revelation that every man and woman ever born has and those are CREATION and CONSCIENCE. God has given man enough revelation here to condemn him but not enough to save Him. It is not enough that a man believes there is a Supreme Being or God; for as the book of James tells us “the devils believe and tremble.”
SPECIAL REVELATION: This kind of revelation is given only to those souls who will receive it. They are two as well. They are the SCRIPTURES and the SAVIOUR. The Scriptures are the means of salvation; we are begotten by the Word. However, the fullest and clearest revelation that God has made of Himself was in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. “Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” John 14:8-9 We would know absolutely nothing about the Godhead except through Revelation from God.

· God, in His Word, has revealed Himself as a TRINITY. This is a doctrine that can only be accepted by faith because mortal minds cannot fathom it. We often use the phrase “Jesus left Heaven to come to earth and bleed and die for us,” but consider what Jesus said while He was physically standing on the earth. “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.” John 3:13 How can we accept such teachings as this without faith? We must remember, without faith it is impossible to please Him!

Soul-Winning by Faith
Soul-winning is the business of every born-again believer. We know this because in each of the Four Gospels and Acts, the Lord Jesus commanded that His disciples be witnesses (soul-winners) unto Him.
Thankfully, He has not left us without a pattern for accomplishing this task of evangelizing the world one person at a time (Acts 1:8).
The purpose of this article is to show the absolute necessity of faith on the part of the soul-winner.
1) God is only pleased with any of our service, including soul-winning, if that service is done in faith.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
2) The soul-winner must have faith in the Scriptural promises that are made to him or her.
Psalms 126:6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
3) The soul-winner must, of a necessity, have faith in the Word of God. Only in the Word of God can one find salvation.
2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
*The great task of the soul-winner is to make sure the prospect they are dealing with senses that the soul-winner has real faith in what they are saying.*
4) The soul-winner must have faith in the operation of the Holy Spirit of God to draw men to Christ as the Scriptures are expounded. There can be no biblical salvation without the convicting and drawing work of the Holy Spirit of God.
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 16:7-8 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
5) Finally, the soul-winner must have faith that Christ Himself is actively praying for him or her while they are giving His Word to the lost. This gives great comfort to the soul-winner especially when dealing with difficult people or being in a difficult circumstance or environment (missionaries on the field, etc.).
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Related Scripture:
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
